Alkaline- refers to any where on the pH scale that lies above 7.1 

pH stands for "potential hydrogen". The greater the concentration of hydrogen ions in a substance the more acidic the substance is. This is important because the body needs to maintain a blood pH of around 7.4 in order to maintain its fundamental state of health. When the pH of the blood drops below 7.4 the condition is known as Metabolic Acidosis. This condition puts the individual at much greater risk for disease development, stroke and death. The BLOOD is the REFERENCE POINT for HOMEOSTASIS and optimal performance of the organs in the body and it MUST REMAIN ALKALINE!!

 

Water-

Water should be consumed in abundance (8 to 10 cups/ day). Natural Spring Water that has been bottled at the source is recommended (Crystal Gyser, Fiji, Evian and Acqua Panna). Water should be consumed before meals to help avoid over eating and improve digestion. If dehydration or retention is a issue water intake may need to be adjusted accordingly. Sodium and Pottasium are vital in the proper regulation of fluids in the body.

.No Seedless Fruit

 

Approved Foods:

When transitioning to an alkaline lifestyle we follow the Dr. Sebi Nutritional Guide which can be easily found online. All fruits should contain seeds and should be as organically grown as possible. Some of the foods reccomended are:

 

Fruits:

Burro Bananas, Mangos, Peaches, Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Tamarind, Sour Oranges, Crab Apples, Cherries, Pear, Plum, Soursop, Keylimes and more.

Vegetables:

Onions, Bell Pepper, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Turnip Greens, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumber, Dandelion Greens, Sea Vegetables, Kale, Romaine Lettuce, Garbanzo Beans, Avocado and more.

 

Grains:

Kamut, Fonio, Qinuoa, Wild Rice, Spelt, Teff and Amaranth 

 

Sweetners:

Dates and Agave are the recomended sweetners to use in replace of white sugar or any of the other 70+ synthetetic sweetners that are used in almost 70% of all packaged foods available at the major grocery retailers. Sugar is one of the main feeders and stimulators of toxicity in the blood and it also rots the teeth and tissues inside the body especially the eyes and pancreas. 

 

Mushrooms:

Oyster Mushrooms, Royal Trumpet Mushrooms, Portabella Mushrooms, Chaga Mushroom, Lions Maine Mushroom and more. (no shitake mushrooms)

Oils:

Grapeseed, Sunflower Seed, Avocado, Hemp Seed, Coconut (DO NOT HEAT), Olive (DO NOT HEAT)

**When dealing with more serious conditions use minimum amounts of oil** 

 

**When cooking foods, using Stainless Steel cookware is HIGHLY recommened. Also wooden or glass cutting boards are preferred over plastic** 

 

Note: Fruit should be eaten before meals that consist of more greens and vegetables. For individuals dealing with more serious conditions, fasting methods such as intermittent fasting, water fasting and dry fasting have been proven to be very effective in reversing disease and cleaning the body on an intracellular level.  Bread and gluten have been largely connected to auto immune conditions and should be avoided at all times during the healing process.
